Helping a Loved One With Addiction

Addiction is a disease that puts stress on someone’s health, finances, spiritual growth and social well-being. Addiction also affects more than just the addict. It affects friends, family, loved ones, and anyone close to the addict. As a friend or family member of an addict, you may feel helpless, lost, or even angry. You may even feel that you’ve been enabling. We are here to let you know that help is always available. Recovery Ways offers safe and highly-effective dual-diagnosis programs that treat not only the addiction but any associated mental illnesses that accompany the addiction. We also offer a wonderful family program that allows you and the loved one suffering from the addiction, to work through any issues and mend any broken or strained relationships.

We know that you only want the best for your family member, and want them to attend a rehab facility that is safe, medically sound as well as comfortable. This is why Recovery Ways is state licensed and fully accredited by NAATP and has received the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval.

Levels of Care

At Recovery Ways we offer a completely holistic approach so your family member or friend can receive a fully immersive addiction recovery experience, regardless of the level of care they may require. From your first phone call to your loved one’s treatment graduation day to aftercare, we want to make sure that your loved one receives the best addiction treatment care available. Our team will be with you and your family every step of the way. Recovery Ways offers multiple levels of care so your loved one will receive the correct type of treatment appropriate to their work and family situations.

Concierge Detox

Recovery Ways has partnered with UNI at the University of Utah to offer an incredibly safe and medically supervised environment for your family member to detox. Withdrawal symptoms from addictive substances can be very dangerous and life-threatening. Your loved-one will be consistently monitored by healthcare professionals and visited daily by Recovery Ways ambassadors keeping your loved one healthy and happy.

Inpatient Rehab

Our most popular choice for those suffering from addiction issues, our inpatient rehab provides 8 hours of daily treatment for typically 30, 60 or 90 days. This will include a mixture of 12-step based group therapy, private one-on-one sessions with their specified therapist, and additional methods including sober recreation therapy or sensory integration. Your loved-one will receive consistent attention, top-quality care, and comfortable living accommodations.

PHP & Partial Day Treatment

PHP, or partial hospitalization, can vary in length and type depending on the severity of the addiction. In one variant of our PHP model, your family member would be able to attend treatment during the day and then return home in the evenings to practice the skills they have learned.

Intensive Outpatient & Sober Living

Sometimes family duties or occupational requirements make inpatient or residential addiction rehab problematic. Recovery Ways offers an intensive outpatient program for those who need occasional, high-level care and want to continue their sobriety after treatment. The Recovery Ways Sober Living program is a perfect transition for your loved one from inpatient treatment back into everyday living.

Aftercare & Alumni

The journey of recovery does not end when they leave treatment. Recovery Ways provides many tools for your family member to continue their drug-free life. Our aftercare programs include Telehealth, virtual IOP (where your loved one can attend private or group therapy via an iPad or smartphone), and a highly engaged alumni group.

Ambassadors will maintain constant contact and visit daily with your loved one while they are stabilizing from withdrawals. Clinicians: The Recovery Ways clinicians and therapists will help your loved-one transform their life with 12-step group meetings and private addiction therapy sessions. They will also facilitate and lead family sessions where you can learn more about your family member’s issues and start to mend relationships.

This group consists of over 3,000 Recovery Ways alumni living healthy and active drug-free lives. It will become a great way for your loved one to stay actively involved in a sober community.

Insurance and Paying for Rehab

As a family member, you should know there are many different ways and combinations to cover the cost of rehab and addiction treatment. A few of the most common ways drug rehab is paid for is through private insurance, paying for treatment outright, government assistance, and even you can help pay for your loved one’s treatment. Recovery Ways does accept insurance and works with a very large group of payers.

Luckily, our admissions coordinators are trained in reviewing benefits. We can review your loved one’s insurance and find out if it will cover any of the costs associated with addiction treatment. Use the adjacent form and an admissions coordinator will return your message as soon as possible. If the matter is urgent and your loved one needs treatment for cocaine, heroin, meth, prescription drugs, alcohol, or other illicit substances please contact us.

Interventions and how they can help.

An intervention is a very helpful tool to assist those who would back away from drug or alcohol treatment, in rethinking their negative stance and commit to becoming sober through rehab. A professionally trained interventionist will attempt to make your loved-one or family member aware of their self-destructive behavior and introduce positive thinking towards attending treatment.

If you feel your family member or loved-one is in need of an intervention, we can help. Recovery Ways works with a close network of highly skilled and highly trained interventionists that can help convince your loved-one that treatment is necessary. Contact our admissions team and call 1-888-986-7848 for assistance.
